Yes, emergency and same-day appointments are available in Basildon, subject to availability at £100.

Emergency call-out fees start from £120 depending on location.

Yes, Ear Clinic Essex accepts from the age of 10 years old and above. 


Ear irrigation is a safe and effective method of removing excess ear wax using a controlled flow of warm water to gently flush the ear canal.


Yes. When carried out by a trained and insured professional, ear irrigation is a safe and commonly used method for removing ear wax.


Most clients find it painless. You may feel a slight sensation of water in the ear, but the procedure should not be painful.


Common signs include:

  • Muffled hearing
  • A blocked sensation
  • Ringing in the ear (tinnitus)
  • Discomfort or pressure

Also ear checks can be carried out for a fee of £10, which is taken off if you need the treatment.


Appointments usually take around 10–30 minutes, depending on the level of wax build-up.


Ear irrigation may not be suitable if you:

  • Have a perforated eardrum
  • Recently had ear surgery
  • Have an active ear infection
  • Have grommets
  • Planning to fly within the two weeks
